Recently I tried to modify the program in the FPGA SPARTEN-6 on the CW-rev2,
but I failed to write it into the FPGA SPARTEN-6 through the JTAG.
For this reason I want to ask that if there are any protections being set to prevent us from modify the program?
There shouldn’t be any protections (quite the opposite - it’s supposed to be open!). What specific error are you seeing?
Thanks for your reply.
I did these works in a windows 7, 32bit virtual machine, and use Xilinx ISE 14.7.
And I used iMPACT to write the file “interface.bit” into the SPARTEN-6.
But there only shows the message “FPGA program failed”.
So is this file the correct one to write into the FPGA?
It “should” work - was there a more specific error message?
