CW305 Vivado 2016

Hi,

I downloaded and installed the drivers for the CW305 board and the device is recognized in device manager (Windows 7), but Vivado is not detecting the board via USB as a target for programming. Is there any reason for this?

Thanks,

Pat

Pat,

This is actually not a problem. The CW305 board isn’t intended to be programmed from Vivado. Instead, we have a custom USB programmer that you can set up through the ChipWhisperer Capture software; the Atmel SAM3U micro on the board does all the heavy lifting.

The CW305 tutorials now describe how to load a bitstream onto the target. Take a look at https://wiki.newae.com/Tutorial_CW305-1_Building_a_Project for the details.
