Connecting CW nano to an external target

Hello,

I did SCA101 and the voltage glitching tutorial with CW Nano.
Now, I’m not expert on hardware but I wanted to do the same test with external target, I was looking for a guide on how to do that, for example I wish to start with side channel analysis password bypass.

For programming the external target, connecting to UART, is fine, I can do that, but my confusion on
How should I connect the openADC to the external target to measure power consumption.
And in general if there is a detailed instruction on how to do that.

Thanks

I have read that, it explains to program the target micro controller to tristate mode, but it doesn’t explain how can I connect to the external target? For example how can I measure the power consumption with the AFC?

quoting from the link:

Either way you will also need to add the following connectors:

  • 20-pin connector (follows standard 20-pin pinout).
  • Either 3-pin headers on MEASURE and GLITCH, or SMA connectors (only if end is broken off).
