CW305 Artix FPGA for EM analysis

Hey everyone, I was recently introduced to the CW305 board and have found information about its suitability for performing power analysis attacks. I was wondering if anyone knows whether this board is also a good target for performing electromagnetic emission (EM) analysis attacks?

I am considering the CW305 Artix FPGA with the ARtix-7 in FTG256 Package.

Could anybody share their experiences? Is there also a low presence of noise when capturing EM traces?

Cheers,
Ron

Yes, it’s definitely possible to capture traces from the CW305 with an EM probe. “Low noise” is subjective, but like all our targets, CW305 is designed to minimize noise.
