I’d like to power my CW308 UFO Board using the 5V DC input power jack instead of the ChipWhisperer capture board’s USB power.
Before purchasing a suitable 5V adapter, I wanted to confirm the maximum current or power rating for the DC input jack on the CW308 UFO.
Could you please let me know the recommended current capacity (e.g., 5V @ ?A or ?W) to safely power the board and connected targets?
Because the CW308 supports lots of targets and also allows users to provide their own, we don’t have a power supply spec beyond what’s said here.
We have used this in the past, which is rated to 2.1A.
Note that for a DC power supply, as long as it’s the correct voltage (on the correct pin!), any current rating that’s greater than the CW308’s current requirements is fine. The CW308 will draw the current it needs, nothing more.
