How flexible are Chipwhisper capture devices?

I do embedded security research and need a capture device that is flexible enough for a specific target device.

Can I use a capture device (e.g., CW husky) on a RISC-V processor?

Has anyone had success with a CW capture device on a Nexys A7 board or related?

Thanks!

The ChipWhisperer-Husky has a 200MS/s ADC, so it’s pretty effective up to roughly 200MHz, especially if you can phase lock the ADC to the target’s clock. I don’t think we’ve used it specifically against that dev board, so I can’t speak to how easy hardware setup will be in terms of modifying the dev board, but we do at least have our own Artix 7 target board: CW305 Artix FPGA Target - NewAE Hardware Product Documentation
