Recommend setup to play with PQM4

Hi All,

I would like to start playing with PQM4. What buy list do you recommend?

NAE-CWHUSKY-SK1 (for a bit more of clock, Im afraid I ll want it in the future)

NAE-CW308T-STM32F3

ST-LINK/V2

Best Regards and Thanks in advance.

I haven’t used PQM4 but from what I can see from their project page and their paper, it’s focused on benchmarking the runtime and memory usage of PQC implementations. Our NAE-CW308T-STM32F3 is one of the targets they use so it’s a safe bet!

The SAM4S that comes with the Husky kit may work as well, but it has less flash than the STM32F3 (128KB vs 256KB) so you may run into issues there.

Since they don’t do any side-channel leakage work, any ChipWhisperer capture hardware can do the job – it’s only used for programming the target and talking to it.

However if you do want to get into side-channel leakage work, then Husky would definitely make your life easier: CW-lite or Nano don’t have nearly enough sample storage to capture the long PQC operations. (With CW-lite you can usually work around this – we teach how here.)

Hi,

I am also considering buying the Husky starter Kit. Have you tried using the PQM4 library with it?
Did you have any Issues?

Best regards
