Usage of CW505 H-feild probe

Hi there,

I’m planning to measure the EM trace to perform SCA on a customized board with a STM32 MCU. I’m wondering if the CW1173 is necessary as the capture device if I want to use this probe. Can the probe (with the CW502 LNA and CW503 power) be directly used by a general oscilloscope? If so, is there anything I need to be notified? If not, since the customized board is not a standard target of CW1173, is it still possible to use this probe to achieve my goal?

Yes, CW505 can be used with a different oscilloscope.

Using an EM probe makes it easier to use non-NewAE targets, since you don’t need to deal with adding a shunt for measurements.
